Music archive entry

Whilst a student at Newcastle I got a mixed ensemble together to play my, other students, and other, contemporary, music. There happened to be four reasonably good clarinet players, so I arranged a lunchtime concert for the end of Jan 1998, co-ordinated scores and parts, and then went to Denmark for Xmas and New Year - and promptly forgot about my own piece.

It was only on the ferry back to the UK that I remembered I had promised a piece, and had agreed score and parts first week in January. I completed the first two movements on the ferry and train, the third the next two days, and copied it in a 36 hour blitz. Fortunatly it turned out OK, the group liked it, and two weeks later so did the audience.
