Composer: Loren Evarts Title: Chambers Instrumentation: Flexible - four melody lines Duration:Difficulty: Moderate Programme note: Chambers is a piece combining elements of rock and jazz, composed by Loren Evarts and arranged for chamber group musicians. It includes a section for improvisational playing. The work has also been performed by the Kutztown University trombone ensemble. Loren Evarts, born in 1958, is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport (Connecticut) in the US where he studied with composer David Barnett, and received a Masters degree in Music. Besides composing, he performs on a variety of instruments including keyboards, trombone and hammered dulcimer. Evarts has produced three recordings of his original works. He is on the adjunct faculty of several colleges in New England where he teaches music. Availability:from the composer |
