Composer: Chezz Title: Three Scottish Takeaways Instrumentation: Flexible - four melody lines Duration:5 minutes Difficulty: Moderate Programme note: These three short movements come from Six Repartitions for Solo Viola. As the title implies, they are Scottish in flavour yet contrasted in mood and tempo. It should be emphasised that all three are original. Though the rhythmic flow of Takeaway 2 suggests the Skye Boat Song, there is no direct quotation from the song itself. All three are arranged for four part variable instrumentation, one of the stipulations for the competition for which it has been entered. Availability:from the composer |
