Composer: Robert Donahue Title: Five Bagatelles Instrumentation: Flexible - four melody lines Difficulty:Moderate Programme note: Robert Donahue, with degrees from Univ. of Wis., Univ. of Ill. and Cornell Univ., recently retired from the Music Department of Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. His catalog is heavily weighed towards educational piano music but he has over a dozen publications of instrumental ensembles. When writing the bagatelles, in retrospect anyway, the composer was paying homage to the 20th century French composer Francis Poulenc. Availability:from the composer |
