Composer: Alan Taylor Title: Six Brief Comments Instrumentation: String, Chamber, Wind Orchestra, or any mixed combination. Flexibly orchestrated. Duration: 12 minutes. Six movements. Difficulty: Moderate amateur Technical Issues: Within certain limits, it does not matter which instruments are present since players can switch parts to achieve an effective balance. In addition, pianos can be used to supplement any of the parts where there are not enough players. Requires a conductor except for small groups. Programme note: This six part piece is playable on a wide range of instrumental combinations. Each movement has its own distinct character.
