Composer: Alan Taylor Title: Conversation II Instrumentation: Treble recorder, flute, or violin, with piano Duration: 10 minutes Difficulty: Harder Technical Issues: The piece progresses through a series of tonalities, with the recorder player joining in well after the start, and being left on their own at the end. Programme note: The piece consists of a process of attempted communication between the two voices, eventually tailing off with the flute or recorder left alone.
