Composer: Howard Skempton Title: Sotto Voce Instrumentation: Piano Trio - vln, vlc, pno Duration: 3 minutes Difficulty: Moderate Technical Issues: The piece consists of isolated notes of the three instruments, with a good deal of pizzicato in the strings, within a time signature shifting between 3/8 and 5/8 Programme note: Commissioned for the Chamber Music Exchange by Thalia Myers, and performed at three concerts as part of that scheme in 2000, in Bath, Oxford, and London.
