Composer: Allan Giuseppe Badalassi Title: Stages Of Meditation Instrumentation: Flute, Violin, Clarinet, Cello Duration: 5 minutes Programme note: When meditating one goes through thought patterns and memories of thing to do. Trying to focus on nothing, or whatever one is trying to focus on, is a task on its own. Stages Of Meditation is my experience of meditation using the methods that the traditional Buddhism uses. The cello is what I have to focus onto, and you will hear how hard it is, when listening to the piece. Try focusing on the music, the cello part, closing your eyes and let it take you to a place of peacefulness and compassion, and hopefully and the end of the piece you may feel positive and less stressful.
