Composer: Ann Wolff Title: Threnody Instrumentation: Tenor, Baritone, Clarinet Duration: 5 minutes Difficulty: Moderate to good amateur. Vocal parts a little harder than clarinet part. Technical Issues: Voices need good pitch. The two voices sing together mostly a fourth apart, and the clarinet plays mainly between the vocal sections. Programme note: The piece was written in memory of an actual event which occured to the composer's neighbours. It was performed by the London Chamber Group in May 1998 at a concert of pieces by members of the Forum London Composers' Group. Availability: Composer's phone: +44 (0)20 7586 2102 |
