Composer: Pat Moss Title: Janey's Song Instrumentation: Brass quintet - 2 tpt, hn, tmb, tuba Duration: 3 minutes Difficulty: Easy Technical Issues: The melody alternates between the upper instruments, with the lower ones supporting the harmnic changes. Programme note: Janey's Song is the third movement of a brass quintet written in December last year for the 50th birthday of the composer's daughter, who is severely physically handicapped. It was written for this very musical person, to give her pleasure in singing along with the harmonic changes rather than the melody. Availability: Composer's phone +44 (0) 114 220 6934 |
