Composer: Rolando Gori Title: Autumn Wind Instrumentation: Wind Quintet - fl, ob, cl, hn, bsn Duration: 7 minutes Difficulty: Moderate amateur Technical Issues: Several tempo and metre changes. May need a conductor. Programme note: The quintet is a piece evoking the dramatic changes which occur during the autumn season. These changes are reflected in the music's structure, abruptly alternating between fast and slow sections. Rolando has composed for both theatre and dance. He was a selected composer at the May in Miami Festival and the Montreal Dancers & Choreographers Collaboration. His theatre credits include incidental music for And Then There Were None..., I Ought To Be in Pictures, and The Gin Game. The quintet was written for the London Chamber Group, and performed at the Conway Hall, London, in December 1998 and May 1999. Availability:E-mail the composer |
