We have three ensembles
We rehearse once a month, in and around Herne Hill, south London
We explore fascinating repertoire, and aim to perform 5 or 6 times a year.
We have a reasonable annual subscription, and are coached by good professionals.
The Ancient and Modern Consort
This consort has a fixed instrumental line up. It plays newly commissioned music and arrangements of early music - baroque, renaissance, or medieval.
The group is full, but we welcome approaches from players who would like to dep. in the group, or fill vacancies when they occur.
Our instrumentation is:
- 2 flutes, oboe
- clarinet, alto sax
- bass clarinet, bassoon
- trumpet, horn, trombone

The Classical Consort
This consort plays classical wind serenades, suites, and similar music written from the eighteenth century through to the twentieth.
It has a full complement of players, but players who would like to join can go on a waiting list. The instruments involved are:
- flute
- oboe
- clarinet
- bassoon
- horn

The Clarinet Consort
This Consort is a standard clarinet choir, with one player per line. The is full, but it would still be interested to hear from players of other clarinets interested in joining.
The Clarinet Consort play arrangements of classical and early music, and modern music written for clarinet ensemble.
