We are a unique orchestra of good amateur players working for composers. We invite them to send us new music. We workshop the pieces, give feedback to the composers, and we perform and record the revised versions of the best pieces.
Our annual programme usually consists 2 main projects:-
1. A Call for Scores open to all composers. We workshop the pieces and choose some for our annual concert
2. A project with London Composers' Forum, in which their members write pieces on a specific theme.
These come together in our annual Summer concert. We will also offer the composers the chance to have a studio recording made of their pieces.

LCCO achievements
John Holland, one of our players, won the 2008 Making Music category of the British Composers Awards for his piece Green Sky, recorded by the LCCO. Our recording of Green Sky was broadcast as part of Making Music's "Play to the Nation" project.
In 2013 we recorded Myoclonic Troubles by Rodrigo Camacho, who also won the student category in the Composer of the Year Awards that year.
